Please note that ALL VOLUNTEERS for the school are required to complete a Halton Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) before volunteering and submit it to the office.

This process needs to be done once during your child's school career, and the background check must have been completed within 6 months of the date of submission to the school.
Once your police check has been submitted to the office, all volunteers are required to complete an "Offence Declaration Form" on an annual basis. This is to ensure that you have not been charged with committing any criminal acts since the background check was completed. You can print the form (see link below) and paper copies are available at the main office. Please submit your completed form for this school year at the office.

Volunteers are often needed in the classrooms. Check with your child's teacher about possible roles such as playing games or reading with kindergarten students or helping students paint props for school plays, as well as field trip and team sport supervisors, etc. We also have a few volunteers who help in the library.
School Council always needs volunteers for many roles such as help with our daytime food programs (Breakfast, Snack, Salad, Cookie, Popcorn, LunchBox, etc.) as well as assistance for evening community building events like Open House, Movie Nights, Dance-a-thon, Fun Fair, etc. Please email us at mgpscouncil@gmail.com with your availability (e.g. Tuesday mornings) and we will contact you. You do not have to attend meetings to be involved – any time that you can give to the school is greatly appreciated!
