  • Amanda's Garden On the last day of school following our awards assembly, Mrs. Martino invited family and friends of Amanda Huxley to the outdoor learning garden behind the gym for a special dedication ceremony. As we revealed the newly installed brick pathway with our engraved legacy bricks, Mrs. Martino thanked us for coming together as a community to remember Amanda and recognize her contributions to our school with a special butterfly garden planted in her memory. Our Kindergarten classes have been learning about butterflies and recently released some around the school. Many cultures and religions around the world believe that the butterfly symbolizes rebirth, "representing endurance, change, hope and life." • MG Spring Spectacular Special thanks to Mr. McKerracher, Miss Goodish and Mrs. Haagsma for arranging a Grade 1 to Grade 6 school performance for our community! It has been several years since the entire school came together for this type of performance held over two evenings (June 18th and June 19th) to accomodate all of our families. Our MCs, Dane and Nicole, along with jokes and laughs from Alex and William, lead the audience through a fun combined performance from all of the classes. The choir showed us their "true colours", our Gr. 2 classes shared their love of pizza and we know we can "count on" the Gr. 3s and 4s! We also enjoyed the sign language love song by the Gr ...
