Our Gr. 5 and 6 students are assigned various responsibilities throughout the school year including bus buddies, milk monitors, kindergarten and primary classroom helpers, school council helpers, etc.

All of our Grade 6 students participate in the annual B.R.A.V.O. program - Building Respect, Attitudes and Values with Others - with Constable Gardner, our Elementary School Liaison Officer (ESLO) & B.R.A.V.O. Instructor. Students complete a 8 week series of learning activities and are presented with a graduation certificate at a special assembly.

Our Gr. 6 students also participate in the Right to Play Youth to Youth (Y2Y) Program which trains Youth Leaders to plan and lead play-based activities for other children in their school and local community. They also participate in the Play Your Part challenge.

Boys, ages 10 to 12, at our school will have access to Game On!, Eat Smart, Play Smart, a mentoring program of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton and Hamilton that provides boys with information and support through physical activities, healthy eating and the development of communication and leadership skills.

The Leadership Team also supports ME to WE which "empowers people to change the world through their everyday consumer choices." They sell ME to WE rafiki bracelets for $10 during the school year and they also raise funds for the annual Walk for Water campaign. Each September, several students from our school are chosen to attend the Toronto WE Day event.
