Our students were excited to welcome X Movement aka Aussie X back to the school for their second set of workshops from October 15 to October 18, 2019. When X Movement first visited us in June 2019, they taught all of our students some dance moves. For this visit, all of our students are going outside and learning some of the fundamentals of Australian sports. Thanks to the MGPS School Council and our community for fundraising in order to support this event. For photos, see Mrs. Howard's tweets about #HavingAGo and our Little Rippas!

"Aussie X explores Growth Mindset through the Australian sports of footy, netball and cricket. The new physical skills challenge students to "Have a Go" at something new so they learn through adversity, and show students that they don't have to be sports stars to love the feeling of getting active."

On Thursday, October 17th, families are invited to come to the school at 6:30 pm to experience what our students have been learning as we all meet outside for some fun activities. All week our students have learned how to play "Aussie Footy" with Rick & Louis from X Movement and they are ready to teach you the skills they have learned! You can just drop in to see Mate or stay for an hour! We would love to see you there! Update: Thank you to the 70+ families who braved the chilly weather and the dark sky to join us for our super fun evening at the school!
