Choose Kindness PosterAs part of Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week (February 11 to 15) at Mohawk Gardens, our Leadership students started visiting classrooms to share some lessons of kindness. Ask your children about what they learned with the wrinkled heart and the tube of toothpaste.

"Before you speak, think and be smart! It's hard to fix a wrinkled heart."

Our Leadership students have also worked on posters that explain the difference between being mean, rough play, conflict and bullying.
Heart Desks by Miss Goodish

The theme of kindness is all around Mohawk Gardens. Miss Goodish surprised her students on Valentine's Day with their desks in the shape of a heart. Every Wednesday, we wear the colour pink to remind us to show acceptance. Students are also creating a bulletin board of kind acts - "Chews Kindness" and share your "bubblegum" moment.

We have also arranged for a special guest speaker about anti-bullying. Save the date! Anthony McLean will be visiting our school on Monday, April 1st.
